What is it?
isTDM (Infrastructure for Supporting Technical Debt Management) is a computacional infrastructure that contains and makes available a set of information to support the understanding and management of Technical Debt (TD) in software projects. This platform integrates three main solutions, as described below.
- TDM Guidelines: a set of guidelines that can be used by software practitioners to support them when structuring or performing actions to deal with TD.
Portfolio of TDM Technologies: TDM technologies, collected from the literature reviews and survey with practitioners. The purpose of these portfolio is to make information about TDM technologies available to the software industry and SE community . Thefore, this can be used to support software and researchers. - TDM Glossary: definitions about the main concepts and terminologies related to TD and its management. These concepts refer, mainly, to the concepts used in the TDM Guidelines, and concepts from other areas associated with TD management, such as risk management, software maintenance, and the financial domain.
Where does the information come from?
The three solutions described above were tailored based on evidence with information obtained from experimental studies carried out by researchers from the ESE-Group (PESC/COPPE/UFRJ), which has investigated about understanding and managing TD.
Who is isTDM for?
- Software practitioners interested in the understanding or management of TD in their projects.
- Researchers searching information about TD and its management for that can be used in your research.
Additional Information:
This plataform (isTDM) was structured into the context of a doctoral research in the ESE-Group of the PESC/COPPE/UFRJ.
